Call for Proposals: Tutorials on AI and Information Management

ETLTC & the ACM Chapter is delighted to invite you to submit tutorial proposals (half day or 3-4 hours) for the Conference on AI and Information Management. We are seeking experienced and knowledgeable presenters who can deliver in-depth tutorials on topics related to the convergence of artificial intelligence (AI) and information management. This conference aims to explore cutting-edge techniques, practical applications, and emerging trends in leveraging AI for efficient and effective information management.

About the Tutorial: 13-15 May 2024 at the University of Aizu (Tutorials can also happen by invitation)

Objective:
The conference provides a platform for researchers, professionals, and practitioners in the field of AI and information management to exchange ideas, share knowledge, and foster collaborations. The tutorials will be an integral part of the conference program, allowing participants to delve into specific areas of interest and gain practical insights from subject matter experts.

Topics of Interest:
We welcome tutorial proposals on a broad range of topics related to AI and information management, including but not limited to:
  • AI-based techniques for information retrieval and extraction
  • Machine learning algorithms for knowledge graph construction
  • Natural language processing (NLP) for text mining and analysis
  • Deep learning approaches for document classification and clustering
  • AI-driven data governance and quality management strategies
  • AI-enabled decision support systems for information professionals
  • Ethical Considerations in AI-driven information management
  • AI applications in document and records management
  • AI-powered metadata management and enrichment
  • AI-driven search and recommendation systems for information retrieval

Submission Guidelines:
Interested presenters are requested to submit their tutorial proposals by 15th April 2024.

Please include the following details in your proposal:
  • Presenter's name, title, and organization
  • Contact information (email address and phone number)
  • Tutorial title
  • Abstract (up to 250 words) summarizing the tutorial's content and objectives
  • Detailed outline of the tutorial sessions
  • Presenter's biography (up to 150 words)
  • Any special requirements for the tutorial (e.g., software, equipment, datasets)

Selection Process:
Tutorial proposals will be reviewed by our expert panel based on their relevance to the conference theme, clarity of the tutorial outline, presenter's expertise, and potential to deliver valuable knowledge to the participants. Selected presenters will be notified by 30th April 2024.
